Visiting Spiritual Teachers
Ajatananda Ashram is open to people of all spiritual and cultural backgrounds who feel drawn to commit themselves deeply to the Inner Quest through the path of silence and knowledge (jnana marga). The Ashram would appeal to those who wish to live in an interreligious community which respects individual (idiorhythmic) patterns of spiritual practice. Whilst there is a daily program whereby the community meets for periods of shared meditation, meals and satsanga, the monastics and retreatants spend the rest of the day within the Ashram following an individual pattern of spiritual readings, private meditation, reflection and devotion. Everyone also undertakes a certain work task (seva) to contribute to the running of the Ashram.
